Local Democracy Agency Montenegro hosted two youth correspondents, Maja Kos and Vesna Gajic, both representatives of the Local Democracy Agency Prijedor, in the period from 24th of August to 27th of August. The aim of this activity is to facilitate intercultural exchanges between different communities in the region, familiarize local cultural heritage, local cultural scene, and strengthen the links between young people through the exchange of correspondents.
For this purposes, youth correspondents visited Secretariat for Culture, Sports, Youth and Social Welfare of Municipality of Niksic, as well as Youth Office of the Municipality of Niksic. After that, they also visited PI Museums and Galleries, PI National library "Njegoš", and Niksic Theater.
As Niksic is particularly rich in cultural content during this period, correspondents had the opportunity to visit the traditional music festival Bedem fest, but also the International Street Musicians' Festival that is being organized this year in Niksic.
Youth correspondents also visited some of the most important cultural and historical places in Niksic, such as the Castle of the King Nikola, the Cathedral Church of St. Vasilije Ostroski, the Carev most (eng. Emperor's Bridge), the Krupac Lake and the Ostrog Monastery.

This activity is part of the project "Balkan Regional Platform for Youth Participation and Dialogue", in which a total of 16 youth correspondents will explore interculturalism in 8 cities from 5 countries involved in the project. The result will be 8 created and promoted video reports as part of the Regional campaign for awareness raising, as well as 8 textual reports that will be published in a creative publication on the topic of interculturality.
