The Balkan Platform for youth participation and dialogue was presented on the International seminar which took place in Dijon, France on the 16th and 17th of March 2018.
The conference gathered more than 100 participants, such as local government representative, civil society groups and youth workers.
The first part of this meeting focused on the European future of the Western Balkans. Different projects and initiatives carried out through cooperation of French local and regional authorities with their Balkan partners on various matters such as youth, culture, citizenship, solidarity, not forgetting economic cooperation dealing with promotion and attractiveness of territories were presented.
Through specific activities, the focus was putted on the participation and involvement of youth in exchange and cooperation schemes between France and the Balkans.
Bozina Stesevic, youth engagement worker from Montenegro and Elena Lazova, youth engagement worker from Macedonia, actively participated on the workshop discussion and Youth exchange forum on the topic “Any projects for the future?” Bozina, who is coordinator of the regional youth working group in our platform, animated the group discussion on the topic.
This seminar was supported by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, organised Within the framework of the France-Balkans Cooperation Programme, run by the Vichy-Auvergne Area Association (Association du Pays de Vichy-Auvergne) and coordinated by ALDA.
