Regional Youth Working Groups within the Balkan Regional Platform for Youth Participation and Dialogue, representing youth from 8 municipalities from 5 countries: Mostar, Prijedor, Zavidovici (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Subotica and Knjazevac (Serbia), Niksic (Montenegro), Peja (Kosovo*) and Skopje (Macedonia) have used the European Youth Week to release a statement to the "elders", representatives of local and national authorities, CSos and other organizations, teachers, students, and all citizens.
With the statement, the youngsters want to express their needs and opinions to the Western Balkans stakeholders and to share their will to be more on the positive side of democratic practices and human rights, but also to have the same opportunities as youngsters in the rest of Europe.
In the statement, they are also writing about the issues that concern them as young people living in the region. In addition, they have gathered together several proposals that could be taken into account.
