On 27 and 28 January 2021 in Jezero, Bosnia and Herzegovina was held training on project ideas and project cycle management by the organisation "Trade Union Educational Centre".
At the initiative of young participants, coaches Aleksandra Knezevic and Milorad Mitrovic made themselves additionally available, opening new topics and pointing out new possibilities in terms of encouraging youth activism in local communities.
The aim of the training was to further improve the knowledge and skills of young participants to become more active participants in all processes relevant to young people in the community - primarily through information on ways to turn their ideas into activities for the benefit of the community.
During the training, all steps in the process from idea to realization were discussed, and all the information obtained will be important for young people to start shaping and nominating their ideas and initiatives to potential donors, from the local to the international level.
How to do an analysis of the real needs of the community and use it to select priorities for action; how to properly shape ideas into project proposals and nominate for support; how to implement them in case of receiving support so as to respond to the expressed needs of the community, are just some of the questions that the participants addressed during the training.
Young people realized that the preparation of a project idea is a process that has its elements regardless of the topic in focus, and bravely stepped into the world of project management, ready to prepare projects based on real community needs, contributing to a better quality of life in this way.
The training is part of the project "Face to face with local administration", as an additional activity based on the expressed needs of young participants and is just an introduction to further steps that young people will take to communicate acquired knowledge with peers from the local and neighboring municipalities. creating a quality network of partners. Snežana Ružičić, Mayor of Jezero, and Božo Marić, President of the Trade Union Education Center, confirmed that their support will be provided in every segment of further activities.
"Young people showed initiative and we responded to it in a concrete way. Our organization is guided by the principle that our activities should be based on the real needs of young people from different local communities, small and large, urban and rural, and not only on what are the general trends ", said the project coordinator Siniša Ćerketa.
