Regional Report 2014 | Monitoring Matrix on Enabling Environment for Civil Society Development

This report summarizes the key findings from 8 country reports in the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia) and Turkey, and compares its findings with the results of the Monitoring Matrix Regional Report, 2013. The country reports were prepared by BCSDN member organizations.
This Regional Report identifies key common issues across the region, in order to highlight the priorities for intervention at the regional level, and to support efforts of civil society organizations (CSOs), public authorities and the European Union (EU) in the creation of a more conducive environment for civil society.

Balkans Arts and Culture Fund (BAC) supports contemporary collaborative arts and culture development projects (COLABs). LDA Prijedor has opened a Info Point for youth

On June 30, 2015 an Info Point for Youth has opened in the area of Prijedor. The Info Point gives young people access to information about local and regional activities dedicated to them, such as education (formal and informal), scholarships, EU programs from 2014 to 2020, and programs for young people’s mobility, i.e. volunteering and activism, courses, workshops, student accommodation and many other practical tips.

Youth creativity inspired through Art Workshop in Vevchani

On 18th and  19th July 2015, ALDA Skopje in cooperation with the Municipality of Vevchani 
organized a youth art workshop in the Youth educational center in Vevchani. The two-day 
workshop aimed at encouraging youth participation and activism in smaller communities 
using artistic expression through photography and film on the topic of youth issues .

III YOUTH FORUM
CULTURE OF PEACE: YOUTH AS PEACEBUILDERS
-YOUTH’S INNOVATIVE MINDS FOR PEACE AND PROSPERITY-
Belgrade, 24-25 October 2015

In accordance with the recommendations that were made in II Youth Forum, the ECPD Academic Council decided that III Youth Forum needs to focus on conflict prevention, conflict resolution and maintenance of peace, with the accent on the knowledge and skills that will contribute to understanding, tolerance and long-term peace among all countries and nations.

Youth needs to be supported as builders of peace and democracy, and their potential and power have to be developed in order to sustain a process of change. The main purpose of the III ECPD Youth Forum entitled “CULTURE OF PEACE: YOUTH AS PEACEBUILDERS” is to equip young people with new knowledge, information and skills required for peacebuilding as well as for conflict prevention, and to improve individual’s ability to resolve conflict and interact peacefully with others.
