Description

EUROWEB+ is a scholarship programme for students on undergraduate, master, doctoral and post-doctoral level, as well as for university staff in academic or administrative positions, financed by the European Commission, and a continuation of the previous project EUROWEB.
The EUROWEB+ Scholarship Programme is open to selected nationals in EU countries and Western Balkans who want to study or work at one of the partner institutions.
The overall objective of EUROWEB+ project is to create a partnership in research and education that will strengthen the ties between EU and Western Balkans.
Eligibility

The EUROWEB scholarships are aimed at three so-called Target groups in a specific geographical region in Western Balkans called Lot 11;
The EUROWEB project partner countries from Western Balkans are: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia;
The EUROWEB project partner countries from EU are: Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, Germany, Italy, Romania, Spain, Sweden and The Netherlands.

Scholarships

The EUROWEB Scholarship covers:
Travel and visa costs including one round trip flight ticket between home and host University. The costs may not exceed a pre-defined maximum amount, based on the travel distance between the two places;
A monthly subsistence allowance;
Full insurance coverage – health, travel, accident;
Tuition fees up to EUR 3000 per 10 months, paid to the host institution. (For mobility with duration less than 10 months, tuition fee waiver policy will be applied).

How to Apply?
You can apply for the EUROWEB+ scholarship only through the EUROWEB+ online application system. Also, you can download the Applicants’ Manual. Before entering the online application, please make sure that you did the following:
Read all info on the webpage.
Identify which mobility group and target group you belong to. In particular, read Applicant Information;
Browse the partner institutions’ local EUROWEB web pages.
Decide which institutions and programme/course/activity you want to apply to. If you do not find the academic offer you are interested in, please contact the host institution’s contact person, see Partner Institutions;
Prepare the relevant documentation.
Check the list of required documents for your mobility type;
Start your application process
The application is a two-step process: first you need to register an account in the online system, then you register your application and upload the supporting documents.
Deadline for applying is 24 August 2015.

New opportunities for young people!

We live in a time of rapid and large changes that are leaving their mark on all humanity. The modern age brings us new opportunities for progress in cooperation with other countries. The path to the European Union is a great challenge for Serbia, but it also opens a large number of chances for progress. Although the report of the European Commission presented the progress of Serbia within the chapter "Education and Culture", it is still necessary to work on these topics. We see special concerns among young people who are quite worried about their future, especially when it comes to education.

Youth jobs, schooling, filling the skills void of the workforce — the problem facing the people of Kosovo.

The strength and ability of the workers for whom it is able to adapt to the demands of the businesses can be considered to be one of the most significant factors impacting the development of a favourable atmosphere for other businesses. Kosovo has been marketed as one of the most appropriate investment destinations due to lower labour costs, allowing businesses to minimize running costs and to be more competitive on the market. EU accession and youth participation on local level

One of the main affected categories by the developments and politics of EU Integration will be the youth. Young people are at the heart of what many scholars refer to as “a crisis of representation in democracy”. In our country, also a fragile post-communist democracy, the situation of the youth is problematic, especially when it comes to participation in decision-making, within political parties or civil society organizations. Because young people are only discovering politics in a period of mistrust, protest, and growing abstention, these new parameters of their relationship to politics will probably continue to influence their future attitudes and behaviors.

“Cultours” – regional panel discussions

On the 22nd December 2020 two online regional panel discussions were organised within the project “Cultours”. The virtual events discussed the topic of “Shared cultural heritage, factor for intercultural dialogue in the Balkans” and “Memorial tourism, potential for local development and cultural understanding”. The debates gathered around 40 participants, 9 speakers and 4 experienced moderators from the Balkan region and European Union.
