The Balkan Youth Forum “Creativity and Innovations towards Active Youth Participation in the Balkans” will take place from the 14th to the 17th of May in Skopje. The forum will include an open conference on the 15th of May that will be held at the EU Info Centre in Skopje.
The conference will be opened by:
- H.E. Mr. Christian Thimonier, Ambassador of France in Skopje;
- Mr. Sasa Bogdanovic, Mayor of Municipality of Centar, Skopje;
- Mr. Lufti Haziri, Member of the Governing Board of ALDA;
- Mr. Eliska Gerthnerova, EU Delegation in Skopje;
- Ms. Antoaneta Ivanova, Western Balkans Fund.
The conference will include three thematic panels, featuring several guest speakers, including Mr. Fatos Mustafa, Deputy Secretary General of RYCO (Regional Youth Cooperation Office); Mr. Gjergj Murra, Executive Director of the Western Balkans Fund; Mr. Darko Kaevski, Director of Macedonian Agency of youth and sport, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Government of Serbia, Coallition of Youth Organizations - SEGA, Makedox Festival, OKC Abrasevic etc.
More than 70 participants from the Western Balkan countries will attend the conference.
The Balkan Youth Forum is being organized for a fourth year and it’s part of the Balkan Regional Platform for Youth Participation and Dialogue, financed by the European Union. This year, the project is also supported by the Western Balkans Fund. The forum will be the first implemented activity that’s being supported through this fund.
