The first Balkan Club Conference around the topic of “Cultural Diversity” took place in Nish, Serbia, from 12th to 14th February 2016. ALDA Skopje was one of the 40 NGOs from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia and Switzerland who gathered in support of this initiative aiming at enhancing intercultural understanding and regional cooperation in the Balkans and Moldova.
During this 3 day conference, participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas but also experiences as NGOs decision makers in the region. The main goal of the conference was to create a network of like-minded organizations, leading to tighter cooperation through a common objective and various projects - in particular projects connected to youth. This was a great opportunity for ALDA Skopje to present and promote the Balkan regional platform for youth participation and dialogue.
The Balkan Club conference ended by a final agreement and the signing of a memorandum of cooperation, as a basis for future regional projects.
The event was organized by the Center for Development of Civil Resources in cooperation with Swiss National Youth Council (SYNC), and funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
