The Presentation of the Cross-Border Ecological Network and Web GIS

On the 25th of November 2016, in Peja, in the framework of the project Born – Borderless Nature. Biodiversity Protection and Development of the natural park Prokletije and Bjeshkët e Nemuna, has been held an open presentation of the BorN project and its activities conducted so far. The Project is funded by the European Union Office in Kosovo in the context of the cross-border program Kosovo - Montenegro and implemented by the Association Trentino con il Kossovo, as the lead partner of Local Democracy Agency in Kosovo, the Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency and the Municipality of Peja in Kosovo in partnership with the Municipality of Plav and the Regional Centre for Development of Rozhaja.

On 19 and 20 November Youth Club in Niksic organized a training “Advocacy and initiatives submission“ for youth from Niksic.

The aim of this training was to develop capacities of youth for being active in policy and decision making, to learn more about mechanisms of participation and how to create a better conditions for development in local community.

The Second Regional Youth Forum for Local Democracy successfully realized in Mostar

The second annual Regional Youth Forum for Local Democracy was held from the 16th to the 18th of November in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. With approximately 80 participants and 18 panelists from several European countries, the three-day event reached its objective to encourage democratic engagement of young people and raise awareness for enhancing the culture of regional dialogue through different activities for youngsters and youth workers.

“We are here! For them, us and you!“ - Secondary School Student's Day celebrated in Zavidovići

By joining forces, driven by enthusiasm and realized projects behind, today secondary school students in Zavidovići marked their day – Secondary School Student's Day. This day is celebrated in memory of the student protests that took place in Prague on 17th November, 1939. The students were protesting against the Nazi occupation, and they were shot without trial.

First phase of project “Youth in Local Action” implemented in Skopje

“The future is youth”, people say. Thus, a better future would be really distant without fostering youth’s vision, ideas and inspiration.

The civil association “Youth can” is implementing a project “Youth in Local Action” within the Balkan regional platform for youth participation and dialogue, supported through the Youth Fund Support Programme. The project offers 12 youngsters from the Municipality of Centar in Skopje the opportunity to develop their skills and to make changes in their local community through active participation.

Travel the world without leaving the classroom

“Travel the world without leaving the classroom” is the motto of Skype-a-Thon 2016, a Microsoft project in education. The idea behind it is to connect classrooms and teachers all over the world and celebrate global learning, along with using modern technologies. The whole project was to happen on 29th and 30th November and its mission was to travel 3 million miles. On November 30th at 1700 CET we traveled 2001 miles, “we” being the students of Secondary Technical School from Zavidovici, actually members of The English Club, extracurricular classes in English.

Youngsters from Niksic planning their community development

On 7th and 8th December, LDA Montenegro organized a workshop „My city – youth city“. Fifteen youngsters from Niksic were actively involved in creation of detailed plan for one youth spot in this two – day workshop. The goal of this workshop was to involve young people in the making of plans for improvement of their local community, as well as encouraging youngsters to creatively express their attitude towards certain obstacles and problems.
