First meeting of the Local Youth Advisory Group of the Municipality of Centar

The Local Youth Advisory Group (LYAG) of the Municipality of Centar, Macedonia held the first meeting on 30 May 2016 in ALDA Skopje office. The Local Youth Advisory Group is composed of young activists, representatives of youth organisations and members of the student plenum.  The group represents a channel between young people living in the Municipality of Centar and the Municipality.

One Year Anniversary of INFO POINT Mostar

It's been 365 days since the opening of the INFO POINT Mostar!

On May 26th, 2015 Local Democracy Agency (LDA) in Mostar opened the INFO POINT, a platform which provides information about events in culture, sports and informal education in Mostar and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and shares the most relevant information about scholarships, seminars, grants and other activities targeted for young people at the local, regional and global level. In addition, the Info Point covers positive and successful stories about youth engagement and publishes motivating news from politics, civil society and everyday life.

Second meeting of the local advisory group of young Prijedor

Within the project "Balkan regional platform for youth participation and dialogue ", the second meeting of the local advisory group of young Prijedor was held where young people discussed the results of implemented activities of the project and plan for implementation of further activities such as publishing local calls for small grants, organization of workshops My City - youth City and animation of youth to participate in the regional survey.

The Balkan Youth Platform presented on the European Youth Forum 2016

7,500 young people from all over Europe met in Strasbourg on the 20th and 21st of May  for the YO!Fest 2016, the political Youth festival organized by the European Youth Forum in the framework of the 2nd edition of the European Youth Event – EYE2016 . In a wide scope of activities ranging from live concerts, artistic performances to workshops, conferences and debates they showed that if we work  together, we can make a Change.

Regional Skype Panel : Non formal education on dealing with the past


In the framework of the activity Youth Taking Over Day within the project Balkan Regional Platform for Youth Participation and Dialogue, the Local Democracy Agency and the lead partner Ass. Trentino con i Balcani, organized in cooperation with the Humanitarian Law Centre of Kosovo based on their project of the non formal education on dealing with the past, this useful workshop and presentation of Transional Justice and the importance of it in our society, especially in the countries of the former Yugoslavia.

Training course for Youth workers in Struga

From 12th to 15th of May 2016, the seminar “The first step to become a Youth Worker” was held in Struga, Macedonia. During four days, twelve young Macedonians learnt Youth working methods. One of the participants was representing the Balkan Regional Platform for Youth Participation and Dialogue.

The local Action plan for Youth 2014-2018 of the City of Subotica, foresees as one of its main priorities the area of environmental protection. There are great opportunities for young people to be involved in this field. Young people can get involved in both, in the design and in implementation of projects and activities that will contribute to better environmental protection.

The goal of the Earth Day is to remind people around the world in what state is the nature of planet Earth on which they live. Earth Day is opportunity to present the problems of ecosystems, pollution in populated places. Earth Day is chance to improve the quality of the environment.  Is ecological crisis that serious? Nowadays, man has the ability to change the environment. Pollution which is produced in one place it is transmitted very fast on a bigger area and then it becomes a general problem.

Young people: We will leave Bosnia and Herzegovina

Yesterday high school students from Zavidovici on the plateau of the "Old monument" announced that they are dissatisfied with the current situation in the city and country of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
 
The members of High school students  Council organised and performed a short flash mob, and carrying banners and shouts: "Do you hear? We're leaving! 
Yesterday's campaign held in Zavidovici is a part of the campaign to be carried out on the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in which high school students including other actions and campaigns are trying to draw attention to themselves and their problems
