My City - Intercultural City was implemented in October with more than fifteen youngsters in Skopje and Kavadarci. The activity included workshops and creating a publication, which aims to point out elements of other cultures present in their community, in their daily life, like names of streets, words used or traditional food etc.
Starting from information they gathered during the workshops, the participants took pictures in both cities and created a publication as a final result: АБВГ, little glossary on interculturality. Through humor, it highlights elements from Japan, USA, France, Sweden, Russia, Turkey and other cultures present in the community of a typical Macedonian youngster.
This research took place as part of an awareness-raising campaign to improve the general perception of cultural practices and raise cultural awareness among youngsters in the region.
The activity was implemented by ALDA Skopje and funded by the European Union within the Balkan regional platform for youth participation.
